In the first painting competition of International Children’s Art Festival of JinJi Lake in Suzhou Industrial Park, the works of eight students from Dongshahu School of SIP were selected and displayed in the hall on the second floor of science and technology center.
On the international children’s day on June 1, the hall on the second floor of the science and technology center attracted many passers-by to stop. The first Jinji Lake International Children’s art festival exhibition, sponsored by the Education Bureau of Suzhou Industrial Park, opened on schedule with the festival of innocence. Eight works of DSH students were selected and exhibited here.
The theme of the competition is “the customs of hometown”. Folk custom is the most appropriate culture of physical and mental life in folk heritage culture. It is a relatively stable cultural event that a nation or a social group has gradually formed and passed on from generation to generation in the long-term production practice and social life. China is a country with a long history and folk tradition. DSH students from different regions actively consult materials in their spare time, excavate the local customs of their hometown, and under the intensive guidance of art teachers, they present a number of artistic works full of strong regional characteristics.
